World of Warcraft Expansions Review

Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games, or MMORPG for short are my favourite kind of game to play. They have heaps of content and there is no better feeling than when you kill giant dragons with a friend. World of Warcraft is easy to play with friends. You have a friends list like in most online games, finding your friends in the world is as easy as it could be. Choose the same Realm (Server), agree on a major city to meet in like Thunder Bluff, go to an easy to find location like a Bank and Bob's your Uncle. Questing with others is really fun, get a good guild or party together and you'll never want to play anything else. The Battle Chest is the perfect thing for a starter, it's fairly cheep these days. Only thirty five dollars in New Zealand. It comes with the Original Game, the Burning Crusade Expansion Pack and a begginers guide made by Brady Games. The guide is pretty usefull and gives lots of good tips and tricks for begginers. Something I really like about WOW is that you pay $15 a month, but apart from that you are not asked to buy any ingame content in other free online games. You can choose which faction you wish to play for then choose one of four races, (more with the expansion packs) then you get to choose a class, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Without any Expansion Packs you are able to level up to 60 which will keep casual players busy for a couple of months, once you are finished with one character you can create a new one, a good idea is to choose a character on the other faction which allowes you to play with new players and do new quests, most quests throughout the game have similar objectives, walk into an area an clear it but every time the quest is slightly differint, for example, one time you might have to use a special spell to kill people, but next you might have to get a partner to help you. It helps the quests stay unique and fun.

The Burning Crusade

The Burning Crusade (TBC) lets you play as two new races, for the Alliance you can play as a Dranei, a species that are advanced and focus on Holy Magic. And for the Horde the Blood Elve, a corrupt version of The Night Elve that focus on dark and twisted magic and spells. A brand new planet known as the outland has been added complete with a new city and a lot of new zones. Four high level dungeons have been added plus you can now level up to 70. New battleground come with the expansion however this expansion was made free in August 2012.

Wrath of The Lich King

Wrath of The Lich King doesn't come with and new races. However there Is a new class called Death Kight. Once you reach Level 55 you can create a Death Knight, when you create one you get to start from Level 55, every race but the Pandaren can play as one. There are some new dungeons plus heaps of cool new two seated mounts, this is great for when you are helping a low level character, I'm only a Level 15 but my mate is a 46. I needed to go to go to a higher level area which was a long way away, I called him and he hopped online and gave me a lift, it only took ten minutes which was great, also you can now level up to 80. New dungeons have been added to the game for higher leveled characters. A new continent which takes up the northern sea called Northrend, an icy cold area with a few new zones.

Cataclysm

Cataclysm comes with two new races, the Worgen, a ferocious Werewolf like class which focuses on fear spells. And last of all is the Goblin, they have been in WOW for a while as merchants on the Horde but now they are playable. The level cap has now been raised to 85, more dungeons have been added and more mounts. The Maelstrom is a new area which is right in the center of Azeroth.

Mists of Pandaria

A rip off of Kung Fu Panda but still cool, new dungeons are included, the level cap has been raised to 90, new mounts have been added aswell. A new race known as the Pandaren which is a panda, they focus on spiritual combat and, a class known as the Monk is new, only the Worgen and Goblins cannot be them but hey ho, most people will play as a Pandaren Monk. A new continent known as Pandaria which ocupies the southern sea has some beatifuly designed areas, my personal favourite is Valley of the Four Winds.

9.5-10
Overall experience is amazing but expansion packs aren't helpful for low level characters.
