PS3 vs Xbox 360 vs PC

Sony and Microsoft have have had a long rivalry between which of their consoles is better. Some people think Microsoft's Xbox 360 is the best ever while others think that Sony's PS3 is the bomb. Each has there own pros and cons, in this comparison I will tell you which one I prefer.

Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 is a good console, that has pretty good graphics, the menu's are a bit confusing but look good. Achievements which let you compete with your friends are a heap of fun, Xbox Live lets you play with your friends with ease, I have never had any problems with it. However you must pay for Xbox Live and believe me it's not cheap. About $90 a year for a membership. Another downside is that to buy DLC you need Microsoft Points, these are a rip off but it is your only way to get DLC so what are you going to do? The Xbox 360 has some great Xbox exclusive games. Like Halo, Gears of War and the Kinect. Xbox 360's are cheaper so are great if you are on a budget but the Xbox Live means you will need to fork out some extra cash.

PS3

PS3 is a fun usefull console, with free online gaming it is good if you are planning on seriously gaming. It is more expensive than the Xbox 360 though this is usually forgetten due to free online. The menu's are incredibly easy to navigate and are not overwhelming. Playstation store is good and you pay with real cash, not Microsoft Points. Trophy's are the equivalent of Achievements but it is hard to keep track of your friends. Playstation has a few good exclusive games like Uncharted and Resistance. Playstation Move is very cool, the PS3 is a great console but the controlers feel a bit weird.

PC

If you plan on playing online games on PC be ready for hackers. You need a good graphics card if you want to have a nice experience but the worst is Steam, the software you must run most PC games through. It is bugy and lagy which causes lots of problems, I personally had to install Skyrim 3 times due to bugs and glitches. Ryan had to install Combat and Arms 5 times and it still won't work. PC gaming is great if you have a good Desktop but Laptops are rubbish.

The Verdict

I wouldn't reccomend PC gaming unless you have a really good desktop, but the Xbox and PS3 are both good options. I would reccomend the Xbox if you are on a budget but if you have a bit of cash you can buy a PS3.
