Assassins Creed 3 Liberation Review

Assassins Creed 3 Liberation is the first Assassins Creed Game for Sony's PS Vita, it is a huge improvement on the PSP game Assassins Creed Bloodlines.

To start with when I first inserted the game card into the Vita I was surprised with just how much the graphics had improved from Bloodlines, I was expecting change but not as much as I got. You for the first time play as a Female Protaganist who is raised by her father and Aunt when her Mum goes missing as a child. You don't get much backstory about your character, you don't even find out why she became an assassin, something I allways liked about Ezio and Altair was that they had a story, Ezio was just a young man living in Venice, with the new protagonist she kind of just feels like something Ubisoft dumped into the game at the last minute. Next up is the world itself, you get a large City and a decent sized Swamp with villages built into it, Trees have returned as climbable objects which really makes free running around a lot of fun, ofcourse you have your basics aswell like haystacks to hide in and viewpoints to climb to but what I like is the city itself, it's busy and full of people, it sounds real between being at the markets and hearing yelling and whispering to running around the docks hearing the ocean breeze, the sound in Liberation has been well done. There are many collectibles hidden in both the swamp and city which will keep you busy after the game is done, people will also give you missions and side quests like on the consoles. If you own Assassins Creed 3 on PS3 you can connect your Vita to the game for extra content like Connor's Tommahawk. Now, something else I love is the disguise system, say you are trying to free some slaves, you can equip a slave dusguise or if you are attending a ball a posh disguise, it's a great addition.

Multiplayer I havn't really understood how it works, it seems you choose a base and a faction (assassins or templars) and must invade other cities, it's nothing like the consoles multiplayer.

8-10

Great Campaign, bad story, confusing Multiplayer but plenty to do.
